Term 4 week 8-10
These last few weeks we will be completing our literacy circles and doing alot more reading to our buddies. We need to look through our innovation books we have in class and think of ideas.
Term 4 week 4-6
We have got 2 groups doing literacy circles and 1 other group about to start. These games are good to play to help you with your vocabulary - Vocab games also try these tests from Vocabtest.com
Term 4 week 2-3
This week I would like people to listen to the story about the card board bicycle.
Term 3 Week 8-9
The Kiwi's have now finished their book and are now going to teach the rest of the class a type of poem. Here is a site to find a type of poem you would like to teach the class. Different types of poems
Make sure you are all teaching a different type of poem - you will need to write an exemple of the poem your self and write up some instructions so the rest of the class can write their own.
Some examples of poems - haiku, cinquain, limerick etc
We will be doing lots of reading to find the answers to our inquiry questions.
Term 3 week 6
Well done with the plays - everyone seemed to improve as we continued to read our parts. We will continue to read our chapter books and interesting articles from Gogo News.
Term 3
Weeks 1-5
We will be working out different plays to be part of. Once we have organised a play we want to be a part of we will need to learn all our part and make props. By week 3 we will be sharing our plays with our class and making sure we know our words and have our props sorted. By week 4 we should be ready to share our plays with other classes.
Term 2 Week 10
Hopefully you have published your book review on your blog after you have shared it with me and 1 other on your google docs.
We are going to try and do some "reading aloud" videos on your wiki page and you can then make a comment about your reading goal.

This week we will continue to read in our groups.
Term 2 week 6-7
This week we will be finishing our literacy circles and starting on other reading books.

Literacy circles are well under way. I would like some photographic or written evidence of the discussions.
Term 2 Week 1 & 2
This week we will be starting literacy circles for one reading group and the other reading groups will be looking at the Kiwi kids news site.
Term 1 Week 9 -10
This site is very good to find out information about your food group.
In your reading book write the date and the name of the story you are going to listen to. Think about the moral to the story. Week 4
Click on this link to go to Storynory. Once you are there see if you can find the classic stories (look along the top of the site) now see if you can find the stories called the Selfish Giant.
After you have listened to it and read along with your eyes write down in your reading book what the moral of the story is and which of our visions it relates to.
